The Challenge
An outdated WordPress framework forced the logistics provider into manual developer cycles for simple text edits and facility updates. The public website represented an enterprise managing critical parts supply chains across six continents, yet the digital footprint was a collection of rigid, static files. When a forward stocking location changed its storage capabilities or closed, the operations team had to coordinate template edits and code changes through external web developers. The company had historically run on a zero-dollar marketing budget and had no internal web administration headcount. Updates often stalled. The public network map fell out of sync with actual warehouse capacity.
Sales representatives relied entirely on cold outreach and direct networking; the legacy site generated no inbound commercial pipeline. When the provider moved to HubSpot Sales Pro to consolidate operations, incoming web data caused immediate organizational strain. The website used generic forms that mixed corporate logistics quotes, carrier inquiries, and employment applications into one inbound stream. Our Approach
Manual page replication and custom plugin stacking weren't options. The website budget was tight, and the client had zero internal marketing headcount for page assembly, so the design needed structural automation. We solved the data-maintenance problem by decoupling the content-editing interface from the standard page builder, using HubDB as a flat, database-driven content layer.
We engineered three structured data tables within HubDB to hold the company's core operational assets: team leadership profiles, global stocking locations, and active job openings. Anchoring these tables directly to custom-coded front-end modules let non-technical human resources and operations staff manage global site content through a spreadsheet interface. Adding a row to the table rendered new map pins and career details across the live site automatically. Developers weren't needed anymore.
To fix the sales-pipeline contamination, we built data isolation using hidden form properties and automated routing scripts. Instead of multiplying standalone forms across career pages, we used native HubSpot forms embedded with a hidden identifier. When an applicant submitted a resume on a job listing page, the form stamped the record with a recruitment flag. The visitor experience didn't change. An automated workflow instantly scanned this property on form submission, bypassing standard sales rotation queues. The system remapped data permissions, routing candidate records directly to an isolated human resources seat and sending targeted internal notifications. This design kept the active sales pipeline clear for the twelve global enterprise representatives, leaving their workspace open for validated commercial accounts.
