An Enterprise Automotive F&I provider migrated to HubSpot CMS. The move fixed a disconnect between site traffic and automated lead segmentation for its training (PDC) and F&I divisions.

One monolithic bucket is enough for low-traffic sites. This isn't a fit for them, or for organizations that don't need segmented nurture tracks for distinct business units.
The Challenge
The organization's legacy site operated as a static brochure. It captured leads into a single unsegmented bucket, regardless of whether they wanted F&I products or training from the Performance Development Center (PDC). Without "Area of Interest" mapping, sales and marketing couldn't automate relevant follow-up. Nurture streams stayed generic, and engagement stayed low. The migration itself posed a risk to organic traffic at the system level. Without a validated 301 redirect map, legacy URLs would return 404 errors, collapsing crawl budget and search rankings. Internally, CRM behavior stayed reactive, relying on manual triage to pull high-intent training prospects out of generic inquiries.
Our Approach
We spent 15 hours on technical SEO infrastructure work, focused on sitemap management and no-index audits to prevent duplicate content indexing during the transition. We also configured a 301 redirect map that matched every legacy URL to its HubSpot equivalent. That step was critical: it prevented 404-spike penalties.
To solve the segmentation gap, we mapped custom properties, specifically pdc_course_interest and pdc_class_time, to hidden form fields. That configuration forces the CRM to assign leads automatically to division-specific nurture tracks upon conversion. For ROI visibility, we built a dual-property attribution framework. The FTLS property carries a "set if null" rule: the original source is never overwritten by later interactions. The LTLS property, by design, gets overwritten by the latest conversion.
