Global Website Migration and Regional Instance Architecture for a Multi-Billion Dollar Cybersecurity Training Provider

Hero featured image

367 redirect loops and mobile script timeouts plagued a $2B+ cybersecurity firm's website. We re-platformed the global site into a regionalized, multi-instance HubSpot CMS architecture. HubDB manages thousands of assets dynamically. A decade of SEO equity survived the move.

Executive Summary

Context

A $2B+ publicly traded cybersecurity awareness firm had to migrate a massive resource library and product catalog into a high-performance HubSpot CMS environment. Its SEO rankings had to hold with zero interruption.

what-we-built-header-icon

What We Built

We engineered a multi-portal HubSpot architecture. HubDB handles dynamic resource filtering. A localized instance model handles global scaling.

Tech Stack

  • HubSpot CMS Hub Enterprise, Marketing Hub Enterprise, Salesforce, 6Sense, ZoomInfo, and Drift.

Not a fit for smaller organizations with single-region operations or companies without complex SEO equity to preserve.

the-challenge-header-icon

The Challenge

The numbers showed the technical debt: a mobile PageSpeed score of 30/100 and nearly 500 images missing alt-text. Managing global content created operational friction beyond the performance floor, and regional marketing teams were slowing down. The existing portal held 595 active workflows. 180 of them were flagged as high-risk, so a single template change could break automation across multiple continents. Content density was the core requirement. The site had to host thousands of resources and partner integrations without sacrificing the 88% organic traffic baseline the company relied on for lead generation.

Our Approach

Regionalizing the HubSpot environment came first on the roadmap. Instead of continuing with a standard multi-language folder structure, we moved the client toward localized HubSpot instances. Each region got real autonomy over its own instance. Shared themes kept global brand standards intact.

The massive library of partner integrations and resources moved from static pages to HubDB. The site shifted from a "page-heavy" architecture to a "data-heavy" one, which allows real-time filtering without the overhead of thousands of individual URLs. During the launch window, a 100% redirect routing protocol mapped 228 broken internal links and 367 loops to a clean, flat hierarchy. The Googlebot crawl stayed stable.

100% Organic Rankings Held Through Cutover

Organic traffic rankings held at 100% through the cutover. Resolving 367 redirect loops and mapping a decade of legacy URLs to the new HubDB-driven architecture made that possible.

Operational Autonomy

Global marketing operations left the single-portal bottleneck. Each region runs its own HubSpot instance. Cross-regional workflow failures got less likely.

Resource Accessibility

Thousands of disparate assets now live in one centralized HubDB-powered resource center. Filtering is instant, and site-wide render-blocking scripts dropped.

180 At-Risk Workflows Neutralized Pre-Launch

The pre-migration audit identified and neutralized 180 "at-risk" workflows. The CRM environment was stable before the new site launched.

Technical Blueprint
1

We skipped HubSpot's native language toggles at the page level. Separate HubSpot instances for key regions give each one distinct database governance and localized compliance tracking.

2

A custom HubDB schema powers the "Integrations" and "Resource" modules. The client manages a high volume of assets through a tabular interface instead of manual page editing.

3

A full audit of the legacy URL structure collapsed 367 redirect chains into single-hop 301 redirects. Crawl budget efficiency rose sharply.

4

A standardized HubSpot form framework maps to Salesforce. Leads from all regional instances sync to a single source of truth for global reporting.

Multi-portal HubSpot localization architecture for an enterprise cybersecurity firm.

A global website re-platforming architecture transitioning an enterprise cybersecurity firm to a regionalized, multi-instance HubSpot CMS. It utilizes a centralized HubDB framework to dynamically manage thousands of localized assets while preserving a decade of SEO equity and eliminating legacy mobile script timeouts.

FAQ

Why use regional HubSpot instances instead of the standard language switcher?

The multi-instance model provides clean data boundaries and localized governance. A single shared portal turns "noisy" for global enterprises, with regional teams accidentally triggering global workflows. The corporate team still pushes global updates through a unified HubSpot theme.

How did the HubDB migration affect SEO compared to static pages?

Moving resources to HubDB cut the number of "thin content" pages and consolidated authority into high-value aggregator nodes. A custom dynamic URL structure gives every HubDB entry a crawlable, SEO-friendly endpoint of its own. Organic reach held while site performance improved.
